Everyone recognizes a ‚Piper‘ right away. Almost all air sports clubs use one of these uncomplicated and elegant machines. MaxFlite thinks that the windmill Piper PA-18 Super Cub will find as many friends as the legendary original aircraft.
She is the epitome of the reliable workhorse and training aircraft. Derived from the predecessor Piper J-3, it had its maiden flight in 1949. As a result, over 10,300 pieces were then produced. As a braced high-wing aircraft with a large tandem canopy, it allows the pilot an excellent all-round view while cruising comfortably. The Piper can be used in many different ways, e.g. as a glider tow plane, with floats for water landings, with skis for use in snow or as a banner tow plane with an advertising message.
As a pinwheel aircraft, the Piper is the ideal gift for aviation enthusiasts. All the essential details of the garden wind spinner have been taken over from the original. There is of course the detailed landing gear including wheels, the struts at tailplane and wings and much more. Of course, all sides including the underside are printed in high quality.
[Wingspan: 90cm; Length: 66cm; weight approx. 2400g; Height of pole 140 cm; ground screw sold separately; Propeller diameter: 28 cm]
